My story

I first discovered energy medicine in 2018 when I was seeing a physical therapist for tendonitis in my shoulder. She used Kinesiology techniques and fascia manipulation, gently placing her hands on my back, which helped me feel better. Curiosity got the best of me, so I started Googling different terms and stumbled upon “Energy Medicine” as energy medicine is related to kinesiology in some ways. I bought the book Energy Medicine, read a little, and was fascinated but then life got busy, and I set it aside.

Fast forward to 2021, when I decided to explore this field more deeply to help myself during a challenging phase with my health. I enrolled in Donna Eden’s Certification Program and became a Clinical Practitioner in July, 2024.

Reflecting on my health challenges and how energy medicine has played a role in my journey, I remember how the Covid lockdown forced me to slow down. I began to notice various issues I had ignored for so long. I dealt with sharp back pain, fatigue, and sometimes felt like just getting out of bed was a struggle. I was always cold, no matter how many layers I wore, and I found myself feeling low and fearful about random things, even when surrounded by friends. I knew something was off, but I didn’t have a specific diagnosis. I had also developed bad allergies to pollen and dogs.

Through my energy medicine training, I received many hands-on sessions as well as did a lot of self-sessions. I have experienced remarkable improvements in all those areas. I no longer have the sharp back pain, and I am no longer allergic. I learned SO MUCH about what was happening with me and how to take charge of my physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

This journey is ongoing. I continue to practice regular energy exercises to stay balanced and manage everyday stress.

What ‘Ishka Flow’ means

Ishka Flow is inspired by the Irish word “uisce,” meaning water, the source of life and vitality. Our bodies are made of mostly water, and water is fundamental to how alive and energized we feel.

Just as water is meant to flow, our energy is meant to move. When energy flows freely, we feel more balanced, clear, and alive. But stress, emotional experiences, illness, or life challenges can cause energy to become stagnant and block our inner flow. When that happens, we may feel tired, stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from ourselves.

Water also runs deep, and so do we. Many symptoms we experience are not just isolated issues, but signs that something deeper in our system is out of balance. Energy medicine doesn’t treat specific conditions or symptoms. Instead, it works with the body’s underlying energy systems, supporting balance at a foundational level, where lasting change can happen.

Healing doesn’t come from outside of you. It happens from within. The role of energy balancing is to clear what’s stuck and support your body’s natural ability to heal and rebalance.

The logo mark

The Ishka Flow logo mark brings together a few simple ideas:

  • The white and blue circles reflect yin and yang (balance and harmony)

  • The solid blue fill represents water (depth and nourishment)

  • The overall shape is inspired by a shaman’s mirror - a symbol of reflecting one's inner self, uncovering hidden truths, and confronting shadows or unresolved emotions.

Together, the mark represents balance, flow, and reconnecting with what’s within.
